Send a Parcel to Madrid, Spain
The city of Madrid is not only the capital of Spain but also Spain's largest city. The city itself is home to around 3.3 million people with around 6.5 million living in the Madrid metropolitan area. This actually makes it the third largest city in Europe behind London and Berlin.
Madrid has the third largest GDP of any city within the European Union and this contributes towards making it one of the World's major global cities. It is this high economic output that helps make Madrid into the leading financial centre within southern Europe.
The city is also home to the World Tourism Organisation and the United Nations.
Whilst the city of Madrid is considered relatively modern, you will find that it has preserved much of its historic character throughout the city.
The weather is mainly dry and very hot in Summer, yet has a fairly cold Winter with regular overnight frosts and the occasional snowfall. Of note is that the nearby mountain ranges receive plenty of snow in Winter.
Key sites to see include the Plaza Mayor – possibly the best known Plaza in the city, the Puerta del Sol – this plaza is at the heart of the city and one of the busiest places that you will come across, being a popular meeting spot for local people, guided tours, festivals and street performances. Note though that this also makes it a popular spot for pickpockets.
Other recommended places to visit are the Catedral de la Almudena, a huge cathedral finished towards the end of the 20th century, and the Gran Via, which is one of the cities most bustling streets and home to numerous shopping malls.
Its economy means that the parcel trade around the city is kept busy, and it is near enough to the UK to offer next day delivery in some cases. The EU free trade agreement means that your shipment should be trouble free, but as ever check with us if in doubt about what you are shipping.

I don’t usually write reviews but credit where it’s due!My parcel was picked up from my home address on Monday , the down side was I’d only chosen the option for the driver to bring the label as I hadn’t any access to a printer. Unfortunately when the driver arrived he said this hadn’t been noted, He then manually put the french address in his computer & attached a very very slim sticker to my parcel, I was a bit dubious wether the parcel would even reach the address in France 🤔😩 I left for France on the Wednesday my friend arranged to pick me up & to my delight there in the back off her car was my parcel! Great service! 😁
Good serviceGood service. 1st time I have used this type of transporting items to Spain. Arrived on the date it was supposed to be delivered. Can't fault the service.
Instructions pte-collection perfectly…Instructions pte-collection perfectly clear and labels easily printed and explained. Collection as promised and driver very courteous and helpful. Tracking very easy to follow and parcel only took longer than expected because of a Friday Bank Holiday in Spain. Have always used this company and the standard has always been excellent.it's also easy to convey tracking information to recipient by mobile phone or give tracking code to recipient as well.
I shipped a large package to Spain…I shipped a large package to Spain using WPS. They used DHL as the carrier. I carefully measured the package adding a couple of centimetres to all dimensions to be on the safe side. The package weighed 35 kilos and was 100 x 70 x 70 cms. A couple of days after delivery I had an e mail from WPS stating that DHL stated the package was 98 kilos and larger than stated. They requested a further £200+ pounds stating I had agreed to additional fees if the dimensions were incorrect. Which is true. After several e mails with Richard at WPS who was in contact with DHL, the matter was resolved with no additional charges to me. Top marks to WPS highly recommended by me; not so much DHL who may have been trying it on!
