Today the city is a major powerhouse with the 2nd largest financial centre in the USA and also with manufacturing, printing, publishing and food processing being major industries. It has also attracted the head offices of many major companies including Boeing, Kraft, McDonalds, Sears, Motorola and United Continental Holdings. It also claims 42 million visitors came to its doors in 2012 to see its sights and visit its businesses.
