Send a Parcel to Cologne, Germany

The fourth largest city in Germany it's home to around 1 million people and is home to media, tourism and business centres. It is also known to be far more liberal in its citizen’s attitude.

The local people take pride in their city and due to the high number of tourists you will find many English speaking people/tourist guides throughout the city. It comes across as a vibrant friendly city, with an excellent transport network with good train links, buses and trams. Bicycle usage throughout the city is also highly noticeable.

Getting here from elsewhere in Europe is easy with high speed rail links connecting it to Amsterdam, Paris and Brussels.

Weather wise it’s similar in nature to that found in the South East of England.

A must see site is the Kolner Dom cathedral although note it has 509 steps to tackle to reach the top of the South tower. Another noticeable tourist destination and for the romantics amongst you is the Hohenzollern bridge, which is called the Locking bridge, which is covered in locks placed there by couples to mark special occasions.

The city has one of the Worlds best collections of museums and art galleries, there is even a chocolate museum and the city is home to the museum of German sport.

Must do events include the Cologne Carnival, which is the largest Winter event in Cologne that is attended by around 1.5 million people annually. The city also has a large gay pride parade, which is attended by 1 million people. Cologne also has a zoo and as well as a theme park.

It is also host to one of Germany's best Christmas markets.

Should any of your Christmas market purchases be too big or delicate to take back on the plane, then why not ship them back using our Christmas present delivery service. Just ensure that you make sure it’s packed well enough to survive the journey home. With its good transport links a parcel from Cologne may be home before you are.
