Send a Parcel to Canberra, Australia

The capital city of Australia, Canberra is not the largest overall with just 367,000 people living in it. It is however the largest inland city, and the 8th largest in Australia. It sits at the Northern end of the Australian Capital Territory.

It was chosen as the capital city in 1908 as a compromise between the two main rivals of each other, Sydney and Melbourne.

Canberra is unique as it’s a designer city and the whole plan for the city was laid out in 1913 by Chicago architects Walter & Marion Griffin. The city layout features substantial areas of natural parkland within it.

It became a thriving city after World War II. Indeed it has one of the lowest unemployment rates in Australia and this is aided by the large number of public sector jobs in the city, meaning it also has the highest amount of disposable income in Australia.

The weather in the city is warm to hot in Summer and cold in Winter. Making it unusual for Australia.

The city is host to the Australian National University and the University of Canberra, as well as many national monuments and museums. Sites of note are the Shine Dome, the Canberra Museum and Gallery, the Captain James Cook Memorial. The city is also host to the Australian National Botanic Museums, the National Zoo and National Dinosaur Museum.

Of historical significance is the Red Hill house, a prime example of a preserved period house from the 1920s.

Canberra is also home to the Canberra theatre and playhouse, which holds many shows and concerts throughout the year.

If you are shipping parcels in the region then you will find the widespread use of parcel lockers throughout the city, which can be used for you to have parcels shipped to, and then left for collection by your customers 24/7. These are very useful if your customer is not at home to receive the parcel.

I can never ever fault this company

I can never ever fault this company, sending parcels to Australia is so easy. Sent one recently and it arrived just under one week which is amazing seeing as airlines still have a few issues with covid. So again thank my Grandaughter loved her birthday present and all the English chocolate. Thoroughly recommend this company.

Great service

My package was picked up on the Friday and delivered the following Friday in Australia, and I’d only booked it an hour before pickup. The service was great but maybe a bit on the pricey side. Overall would recommend.
