Known until the 1970's as Ceylon, Sri Lanka is famous for it's Ceylon tea and coffee - as well as being the native home of cinnamon. These goods were established in the 1800's due to Sri Lanka becoming a colony under British ownership. More recently these trades have dropped off slightly, however the country is now undergoing a massive boon of tourist attraction.
